Campaigns In India

 Within the international framework of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), the goals pertaining to health and combating diseases as HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, etc find explicit expression with more than 3 MDG's out of the 8 focusing on the them.

The spread of HIV pandemic has taken a heavy toll all over the globe especially in India with more than 5 million people being infected with this fatal disease. The need of the hour is to halt and reverse the spread of HIV/AIDS and bring about a behavioural change among people by ensuring speedy, accurate dissemination of information and timely interventions. The young population of India is at a great risk and therefore it becomes extremely pertinent to focus on them and make them the centre of targeted interventions to create awareness.
